Say a bowie knife was stabbed into your right kidney and twisted a bit. How fast would you die? Minutes? Longer? Would it be from blood loss or something else? Would you pass out first, or die instantly? I’m asking because it happened as a cliffhanger on a TV show I watched recently, and I want to know how realistic it is that he’s really dead.

I have been obsessed with Fire since I have been a toddler (no arson don’t worry) and knives…. I just got a Bowie Knife the other day on a Camping Trip and I can’t take my eyes off it, its like a brand new feeling of joy each time I see it…. Im not attached to it too strongly, I could easily throw it in the trash or such. Same with Fire…. why do I find these such novelties?

For some reason as an adult I want to purchase all the knives and guns I wanted as a child and young man but of course couldn’t have, even though I have little practical use for them other than display or the very slight chance of home defense. What does this say about my personality, if anything?
I did have some knives as a child, my boy scout knife was hard-earned, and I had a BB-gun I wanted, and later a cheap rambo knife. But I always wanted a snub nosed .38 special like my dad’s and a ninja sword and kukri knife and bowie knife and medieval sword, etc…
I just recently bought a beautiful 11" bowie knife and wondered if it would be illegal to carry it? It’d be in plain view on my belt so it wouldn’t technically be considered "Concealed" if someone could see it. I just feel prideful carrying it and it honors Jim Bowie himself in my opinion. So yeah, just wondering so when I do get it, I don’t have any issues with law enforcement. It’s not like I’m gunna hurt anyone with it, I just like to have it for certain things like cutting rope, tape, opening my door when I locked myself out, cutting tall weeds ect, ect.

I am a knife collector/enthusiast and was wondering if trench knives were both legal and available for purchase in the U.S. If they are available to purchase, what regulations and what locations would I be able to procure said item?
The type of trench/combat knife I am looking for is larger than a tanto and more similar in size to the marine corps bowie knife.
