I need a new knife, my old gerber fell apart on me! I would like a strong and durable knife, preferably fixed blade, but a folder will do too. I also need it made in AMERICA. I have had very bad experiences with Knives made in foreign countries. I will probably take it camping, and will use it for hunting as well. Could some one please point me in the right direction? my neighboor always carries this big ass 12 inch hunting knife with him everywhere he goes. its sick how long the blade is, probably a good 7-8 inch blade. when i ask him why he always carries it he says ‘you never know’. i never know when he’s gonna kill me maybe?
